The Importance of Play
| We hope you are visiting this important page of our website to learn more about play and the fact that playing with toys is essential to children. That’s right – play is an absolute necessity for children. Somewhere along the line, people got the idea that play is frivolous, a waste of time. Play now has a bad connotation, which often times causes parents to remove play from a child’s busy “schedule.” When, in actuality, play should be a healthy component of that schedule – it is, after all, a child’s work! While we are not specialists in child development or experts on the subject, we do know that play is an important part of the healthy development of children through our work in this business. And, we are fortunate enough to see everyday just how valuable toys are to children and how much joy and learning they elicit. As a result, we are going to add to the conversation on play and its importance to children as best we can, sharing our insights and the knowledge we have gained through our experience with toys.
