Baby Farm Friends Bowling
Description
Baby Farm Friends Bowling from Earlyears is striking the hearts of youngsters everywhere with the soft, cute animal pins that kids almost do not want to hit - almost! The bowling set is vibrant in color, varied in texture, and full of fun noises. The adorable "bowling" pins - a cow, pig, rooster, donkey, dog and duck - are numbered for counting and create noise when shaken. Even the colorful bowling ball makes a chiming noise! They stand, and they fall - and kids are falling for this bowling set. And if your child does not want to carry the adorable pins in his or her hands, no worries, this set comes with a zippered vinyl tote.

Review:
These little bowling pins and bowling ball don't really serve the purpose of bowling for the little one who would be interested in playing with it. Rather, they offer a great buffet of sights, sounds, and textures for an exploring little mind. My daughter loves to identify the animals, and then shake each animal "pin" around to discover the different sounds it makes (each animal makes one of at least 4 different sounds, be it rattling, jingling, or dinging) . In addition, each animal is numbered (1-6) so it's wonderful for identifying numbers as well as animals. I'm not sure that my 20 month old yet understands the concept of throwing the ball and knocking the pins down, but the adults have fun with that! :-D

This would probably be more used by my 2 year old when she is a little older. She will use it "properly" but that doesn't hold her attention long. She would rather kick the ball or line up the animals, but not necessarily both at once. But it is very cute and I am sure will get more use later on.

We bought this set for our daughter when she was about 18 months old and it has grown with her! At first it was rolling the ball while sitting down, to knock over the pins. Then we progressed to standing and throwing the ball. Now that she's actually gone REAL bowling, she has lots of fun setting the pins up by number and trying to bowl like the adults! the pieces clean up really well! We did put them in a plastic box, as it was easier for her to put them away, than trying to put them in the bag they came in!
