In this eco-friendly kit, kids will build and experiment with a fuel cell, while learning about electrochemical cells and battery operated vehicles. The included battery is a metal-air electrochemical cell, used in many small scale devices, and uses magnesium plates, salt water, and oxygen to generate electricity. Using this cell, kids can conduct 22 experiments and build 20 different models powered by the cell, while experimenting with the levels of salt and learning about battery technology. The kit includes 6 plates, and one plate lasts as long as a regular AA battery. To help kids complete the experiments, included is a full-color, 64-page manual and 91 pieces.
