The battle of the Mastermind Game begins when the codemaker creates a secret 4 peg code using any combination of 6 colored pegs. Then, the codebreaker tries to "break the code" by placing colored pegs on the game board in an attempt replicate the code. To help the codebreaker in Mastermind Game, the codemaker places a red key peg next to the code for every peg on the board that is right in color and in the correct position. A white key peg is placed next to the code for every peg that is the right color, but not in the correct position. Given these clues in the Mastermind Game, the codebreaker can attempt to re-create the codemaker's hidden code up to ten times. If the codebreaker is unsuccessful, the codemaker is awarded 11 points, and play of the Mastermind Game is then reversed, so the codebreaker is now the codemaker. The player with the most points wins the Mastermind Game from Pressman Toy - with lots of luck and strategy!
