I bought this for my son when he was 2. He is 4 now and still LOVES to play with this car. It is very easy for him to control. When he first got it I still had to show him how to use it until he got old enough to understand it. It moves slower than other RC cars, which is good for this age group. It only has two controls on the controller, forward and turn (in one direction), also a plus for this age group. The car itself has a very soft, squishy car body so it will not harm furniture or be broken by kids stepping on it or dropping it down the stairs. The only issue I had with this car is that it is difficult to change the batteries on the car. It requires a very long and skinny screwdriver because the screw is deeply set. Then when putting the body back on, you have to make sure to place it on in the right direction and tightly, so that the screw will reach. I highly recommend this car or similar (I believe that there are several models available) for any little guy or gal who would like to try an RC car. I am very pleased with it.
