When we brought our amazing daughter home from the hospital we were frustrated to discover she had colic and often had trouble getting to sleep without being rocked and cooed to. A friend gave us the Sleep Sheep and we attached it to her pack and play every night at bedtime. The gentle sounds of rain falling, whales calling, waves splashing, and the heartbeat were infinitely soothing to her. They say that the womb is as loud as a vacuum cleaner so there's no wonder why! Not only did the sheep help her stay asleep, but it gave my husband and I a few extra hours a night as well. I plan on using it for every subsequent baby. My one complaint is the heartbeat sound. I think it sounds awful and to me, doesn't mimic the rhythm of a heartbeat. I don't think it's what our babies hear when they're inside of us. But how would I know?

We have owned Sleep Sheep for a year now - I purchased when my daughter was 2.5. We use Sleep Sheep on the rain setting each and every single night. The white noises lulls her to sleep and soothes her. I sincerely wish I had one for myself, as I have fallen asleep while putting her to bed on more than one occasion as a result of Sleep Sheep's hypnotic effect! And I know my daughter now views it as an important part of her bedtime routine - while packing for a weekend trip recently, she was certain to toss Sleep Sheep into her backpack! Highly recommend, for ALL ages!

This sheep is cute and the different sounds are great. The only problem is that you can't set it to play continuously. My son would wake up as soon as it turned off. So the sheep became a soft toy, but we didn't use it as white noise anymore.
