      The microscope works well. The toy is age appropriate and seems as durable as the name implies. We bought extra slides which made it fun. However, don't count on removing the lens and using it outside. My son never got the hang of that.

      My niece who is six enjoyed coloring the umbrella. However, coloring the umbrella completely takes time and may need the help of another person if full color is desired. The structure of the umbrella appears to be good.

      My 6-year-old loves this set. He can take it and put it away easily. The bases seem durable thus far.
