We gave this cash register to my 4 year old for his birthday. He loves pretending and playing store. He has been thrilled have a "real register" for his store. He doesn't quite know how to count out the money, but he has no trouble swiping the credit card. Our 6 year old has enjoyed this toy as well and is putting his addition and subtraction skills to work. The register is very durable and I think it will last a long time, even with all the play I know it will get. I love the solar powered aspect - no batteries to replace!
My 5 & 7 yr olds love this toy, but they don't use it to have the balls pitched to them, they use it to blast the balls into the air and create "fireworks". It's difficult to set the balls to pop up so the boys can actually hit them. It may work better once they improve their swing, but right now they're just enjoying it for throwing balls all over the yard.
