Purchased for a friends child. Will beging using them around age 10-12 months as blocks. Very durable, but a little heavy if one is dropped. Good for child to work on sequencing and percision to get them to stack. Colors offer good visual stimulation.
My intention with this purchase was for the outside water table. The eye hand coordination required is good for the child. They will spin the real on the fishing pole, but that does not operate anything. The utilization is very basic, good for tub or water table. Interest will not go beyond a 3 year old.
The ball goes a good 8 feet some of the time if squeezed properly. Balls get lost quickly, be on the look out and consider using your own storage bag. This would be a good product if working on hand dominance activities or building hand strength for any age person.
This product offeres the opportunity for matching pictures, orienting shapes and pictures, one handed grasp pattern skill and gives the child great incentive to want to do all this. When the piece is inset properly, it makes a special noice based on the type of vehicle. If the child does not have the skills to place piece, they will enjoy assisting and watching and listening. Price is great for the amout of time your child will engage and logevity of this product. Wonderful gift idea for that little friend. I would recommend a 2-3 year old.
These are a fun opportunity for kids to face forward and tell you what is going on behind them. The little mirrors inside the glasses actually allow the person wearing to see directly behind themself. My son - 8 years old thinks they are the greatest.
