Review:

When I was a boy, some of my favorite toys were figurines of various things, soldiers, farmers, cowboys and so on. They stimulated my imagination and I played with them for countless hours. I would have fallen in love with these Schleich figurines of knights. In fact, I have! They are exquisitely detailed, beautifully colored and authentic in every way. The red knight has a fleur de lis on his shield, a common heraldic figure used in many European country. His armor and weaponry is not only authentic, but his battle stance is as well(my grandson and I looked it up). The material is strong and flexible so it is unlikely to break or injure during normal, rugged play. I will be buying more of these for my grandchildren.

Review:

I bought my grandson this figurine for Christmas and was really impressed with the beautiful detail and authenticity. The colors are brilliant and authentic and the "metal" parts are wonderfully realistic with a burnished silver. We spent time looking up the heraldic lion and the type of helmet the knight wears and found that it is a 'lion rampant' and a 'bucket helm'. The figure is made of flexible material so there is less chance of breakage or injury. It is an excellent toy, beautiful, sturdy and historically accurate.
