      I bought this for my 5 year old son who likes to take things apart. He builds quickly with this and like to pull them apart and put them back together. There are many things you can make with this and it comes with instructions for things that can be built and how the blocks snap into each other. My son of course could care less about this and just started figuring it out himself. This is a toy he played with independently for about a half hour before moving onto something else.

      I bought this for my son after he played with it constantly at his birthday party. However he is really young (5 years old) his sisters play with him who are 6, 9 and 12 and help him to create and understand what he's doing. So this has been a gift for them as well and they play together without fighting! This is a gift for me! I chose the larger set so that there would be more options for them to play and would last longer.
