Expensive, BUT, these toys are another great quality item my kids love to play with. The kids come up with so many creations and the quality is awesome. If you can get a set as a joint family gift i would say invest in it.

Wow, flashback that survived 20 years! i bought this for my eldest daughter, now 20. I held onto it with the intention that it was such a unique toy for passing it on to my grandchildren. Well i went on to have 2 more kids now ages 6 and 4 and that toy still functions like day one. It came with the options of buying different cartridges for classic, rock i think a Disney one. I know we have several each time you put the block in on a different side it makes a different sound. One block has how many sides now multiply that with how many blocks, so many variations indeed. Plus the cartridges were interchangeable with the big soft cubes (i don't know if they are still on the market) but I was smart enough to keep both and for 20 years. We have enjoyed them!

Review:

This is another must have toy. I know they are very pricey and that is the only thing i do not like about this product. But on the flip side kids of all ages will love playing with all the time. Magna Tiles are very well constructed to last through unbelievable play. We love the solid colors as well as the see through colors. My kids and all their cousins and friends love to come over and play with this. My son has created so many awesome things i think he will grow up to be a designer of buildings. Not kidding! Well worth the investment. We have been adding on to our collection for the past 4 years.

I just love these! Very sturdy construction where some of them just don't hold up. I had bought this for my daughter 6 years ago and it has survived through 3 children who ALL love to stack them up and then for some reason knock them down which is their favorite part. I can't say enough on this product!

if you have a child the flings things across the room when upset I DO NOT RECOMMEND this. Instead they have soft foam blocks that are excellent quality that kids as little as one can teethe on., and build just the same as a wooden blocks. But this set is fun for older kids.

The negative; well if a child gets mad rather it be someone not sharing or his creation fell, he might take one of the wooden sticks and throw it. ouch!!!! That's what happened in my house. Wood hurts and can break other objects. POSITIVE; it was a very cool toy for the older kids who can control their impulse to throw things. Sturdy ,vibrant colors and sending the marble down was alway an amazement for them. I do love this set for children who don't throw things across the room.

My kids love this toy. The bottom board is made of a durable material that is still soft and the kids love to make layers as shown on their pictures. Then they will just stack the pegs and try to see who can make the tallest peg, use the pegs to make a path on the floor, and all kinds of inventions. Highly recommend this.

My kids love to color match these wonderful shapes. It's a good educational toy that comes with a lot of different pictures to match. My daughter got into this by 3.5 -4 years of age and is 6.5 now still going strong.

My kids have been playing with this toy since they age of 2 now they are 4 and 6 and still play with it. My only concern is that if you have a child who is a mouther like my son you have watch as he would put in his mouth and it made me nervous if he were to fall. Aside from that the kids love playing with this pegs and building imaginary cakes, etc.

This is an awesome quality toy for children who don't put pieces in their mouth. They have lots of sets to add on to. Allows for cool creations. My kids and their cousins (2-15) all play with this.

This is a quality educational toy my kids love. They play for hours learning the value of money recognizing the difference in coins and their worth. I would highly suggest this as a gift and this brand in particular brand versus the others.

these wooden/velcro kitchen toys are the BEST. My kids have had them since they were about 2 years of age. They are pure quality toys that give kids a feel for real play as they use their play knife to cut pieces and serve. My kids still play with them and they have help up like new for the past 4.5 years.

my kids love this toy just stacking them and putting them together to make the biggest they can. I had only one concern; I dont think it was good for children like my son who puts everything in his mouth even at age 4. my daughter was not a mouther by 2 so I purchased this for her and as much as her little brother now 4 loves to play with them I had to constantly watch him not to put in his mouth.
