GENERAL MEMBERSHIP
 

How do I become a member of the Rewards program?
To enroll, simply create an account online or at our store in State College, Pennsylvania. If you sign up in our store, you must go online to activate your account.

Do I have to become a registered user online to be a member of the Rewards program?
Yes. Having an account is the only way we are able to ensure that points are properly assigned to your account. You can register for Rewards in our State College, PA store or online at www.growingtreetoys.com. If you registered in our State College, PA store, you must also activate your Rewards card online. And remember, Growing Tree Toys does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties, ever! For more information, please read our complete Privacy Policy.

Does it cost anything to become a member?
No. There's no fee to join and no ongoing membership fee.

Who can join the Rewards program?
Rewards program membership is available to U.S. residents at least 18 years of age.

How do I change my contact information?
Login to your account at www.growingtreetoys.com and go to the My Profile section. Once there, you can add or update your mailing address, phone number and e-mail address.

Can my family or friends use my membership so I'll earn extra points on their purchases?
No. Memberships are nontransferable and are only valid for use by the person whose name and email address is given upon registration.

Why do you need my e-mail address?
All earned Rewards Certificates are issued via email. When you have reached enough points for a Reward Certificate, we will send you a notification e-mail letting you know that your Reward Certificate is available for viewing and printing.

Will my account expire?
Your account will not expire as long as you make one qualifying purchase during any continuous 24-month period.

How do I earn points?
Rewards are great because you can earn points by doing more than simply making a purchase!

  1 Point per Dollar   For purchases made at our store or online
  25 Points For signing up for an account
  Up to 75 Points For writing a review
  250 Points For referring a friend that makes a purchase

Can I earn points in your store and online?
Yes! You can purchase in our State College, PA store and online at www.growingtreetoys.com and your points will by synced and tracked in one place! How cool is that? Of course, if you only want to shop in our store or online, you can do that as well!

What are the details of points earned for purchases?
Points for purchases are only applied to the dollar value of the items being purchased. Points are not awarded for dollars spent on shipping, oversize shipping charges, sales tax, gift wrap or other miscellaneous charges.

When can I begin to earn points?
You are eligible to start earning points the moment you join the Rewards program online or in our store.

How do I keep track of my points?
Visit growingtreetoys.com and login to Your Account to check your points and account activity. If you shop in our store, you may also ask a sales associate for an update on your points.

What are "approved" points?
Posted points are points that are validated and eligible for Rewards Certificate earning.

What are "pending" points?
Pending points are Rewards points that members have earned but have not yet been posted to their account, and are not yet available for use or redemption for Rewards Certificates.

When do points appear in my account?
Since you can earn points in so many ways, here is an overview of when you will see your earned points in your account:

  Purchase (in our store):   within 1-2 hours of completing purchase
  Purchase (online): within 72 hours of order shipping
  Reviews: within 1-2 hours of review being approved
  Referrals: within 72 hours of order shipping

Can I use my points immediately?
Points are not available for use until you reach the redemption level for a Rewards Certificate.

Can I get points for past orders?
You are not able to receive points for past purchases.

What if I forgot to show my card when I made a purchase at your store or forgot to login when making an online purchase?
If you did not show your card or login when making a purchase, we are unable to apply points for that purchase to your Rewards account.

Am I able to earn Rewards for purchases placed on Amazon or other third-party websites?
No, points are only awarded for purchases made in our State College, PA store and online at www.growingtreetoys.com.

What happens to the points I earn when I return an item?
Points earned for the purchase of an item are deducted from your Rewards account if the product is returned.

What happens to my points when I return an item that I used a Rewards certificate to purchase?
Once points in the form of a Rewards certificate are redeemed, they cannot be reinstated. So if you return an item where a Rewards certificate was used on the purchase, the points are forfeited.

Are points refundable?
Once used, spent or applied to a purchase, points cannot be "refunded" back to a user's account for any reason.

Do I earn points if I pay by Gift Card?
If you are paying by gift card, you will earn points for that purchase.

REWARDS CERTIFICATES
 

When am I eligible for a Rewards Certificate?
Each time you earn 250 points, you are eligible for a $5 Rewards Certificate. Certificates are issued the first week of each month.

How do I receive my Rewards Certificates?
All Rewards Certificates are issued via email. When you have reached enough points for a Rewards Certificate, we will send your Rewards Certificate via email. To receive your Rewards Certificates via email, you are required to create an online account.

How can I use Rewards Certificates?
Rewards Certificates can be used toward the purchase of any product or service in our State College, PA store or online at www.growingtreetoys.com. You must use your Rewards Certificate on an eligible product or service in an amount greater than the value of the Rewards Certificate. Certificates may be combined with other offers, but they are valid on in-stock items only.

Do Rewards Certificates expire?
Yes. They must be redeemed by the expiration date printed on each Rewards Certificate. Expired certificates cannot be reissued.

What do I do if I lose my Reward Certificates?
Used or expired certificates cannot be replaced. Lost certificates that have not been used and have not expired can be accessed via your online account.

Can my family or friends use my Rewards Certificates?
No. Rewards Certificates are nontransferable and may only be used by the Rewards Member for whom they were awarded.

Points were deducted from my account for a Rewards Certificate, but I have not received the certificate yet. Why?
When we automatically issue a Rewards Certificate for you, we first deduct the points from your account, and then it takes up to 24 hours to process your points into a Rewards Certificate. Also, please be sure to check the SPAM folder in your email account, in case the email with your Rewards Certificate did not arrive in your inbox. If you still do not receive your certificate, please contact customer service.

Why don't I see a Rewards Certificate available, even though I have enough points to earn one?
Rewards Certificates are issued the first week of each month. So even though you have enough points for a Rewards Certificate in the middle of the month, the certificate will not be issued until the first week of the following month.

PRODUCT REVIEWS
 

How do I write a review that will be approved?
For a product review to be approved, the review needs to be descriptive and valuable for the next customer who may be purchasing this item. As a broad point of reference, we feel an approved review should be in the range of at least 50 words – and more is always welcome! Approved reviews should contain details that will help shoppers decide if the product is right for them. Need some ideas on what to discuss? Here are some thought starters…

  • Discuss what you like or did not like about the product
  • Discuss the age appropriateness
  • Discuss the durability
  • Discuss the quality
  • Discuss the value for the price
  • Discuss anything that feel you would like someone to know who may be purchasing this item next!

And of course, be honest!

Can I write a review for an item I purchased in the State College, PA store and receive points?
Yes. As long as you have activated your store Rewards card online, then any approved reviews will add points to your Rewards account.

Why was my product review not approved to receive points?
We thoroughly enjoy reading customer reviews, but not all reviews are approved. If your review was not approved, it is usually for one of the following reasons:

  • Lack of Description: The most common reason that reviews are not approved is because they do not provide enough description or feedback. Remember, only reviews that are descriptive and valuable for other customers are approved. That is why we reward you for your time and effort with Rewards points!
  • Inappropriate Content: We felt that your review contained inappropriate content.
  • Content not Applicable: The content you provided was not applicable to the product you reviewed.

It is our goal to approve as many reviews as possible, and as long as you take time and provide us valuable feedback, you should not have any problems getting your review approved!

How do I get points?
Log in to your account to see your unique 5-digit referral code. Simply share with your friends, and they get a 15% discount that they can use on their first order online at www.growingtreetoys.com. Each time one of your referrals places an order, you receive 250 Rewards points in your account! It is that easy!

What is a membership card?
Membership cards are only distributed in our State College, PA store and are not required if you only shop with us online. If you have a membership card, you can present it when you make a purchase in our store to ensure points are added to your Rewards account.

Your 9-digit card membership number (example: xx-xxxxxxx) can be found on the back of your membership card or on your receipt when you make a purchase at our State College, PA store.
